The Heart and Beard of Christmas. Known by many as the most authentic Santa around, Santa Dave is the man who started it all over five years ago and has been spreading Christmas joy ever since. With his real snowy-white beard, glowing presence, and unmistakable twinkle in his eye, he’s often stopped in the street by children (and adults!) convinced they’ve just met the real Father Christmas. And honestly… they might be right.
Santa Dave is not only the founder of Santa’s Coming to Town, but also its beating heart. He’s our most in-demand Santa, loved by schools, nurseries, events, and families year after year. His natural warmth, incredible storytelling, and joyful energy bring a genuine sense of magic to every visit. From enchanted grotto appearances to special Christmas Eve doorstep visits, Santa Dave captures the spirit of Christmas like no one else. The suit may come off in January, but the magic he brings lasts all year.
A Truly Magical Addition to the Team. We were delighted to welcome Santa Gareth to the Santa’s Coming to Town family in 2025 and he’s quickly become a festive favourite! With his genuine warmth, jolly personality, and real white beard, Santa Gareth brings an authentic touch of Christmas magic wherever he goes. Children are instantly captivated by his twinkle-eyed charm, and his calming presence makes him a hit with all ages.
When he’s not delivering presents or checking the Naughty List, Gareth works at James Cook University Hospital, showing the same kindness and dedication in his role there as he does in his Santa suit. From school visits and community events to magical one-on-one moments, Santa Gareth embodies the true spirit of Christmas – heartfelt, generous, and full of joy.

Lisa Tomlinson-Cowie is the newest member of the Santa’s Coming to Town family, stepping into the joyful boots of Mrs Claus! With her warm smile and bubbly personality, Lisa brings festive cheer wherever she goes. By day, she’s a dedicated NHS Nursing Associate at a Stockton GP surgery – but off duty, you’ll often find her treading the boards in local theatre, lighting up the stage in musicals, pantos, and plays.
She’s also a keen traveller (especially to places warmer than the North Pole!), and when not exploring, she’s busy baking treats for Santa and keeping elves in line. With her love of performance and community spirit, Lisa is the perfect Mrs Claus, making sure everything runs on time and spreading Christmas magic in the lead-up to the big day.
There isn’t a shelf big enough for Elvis. This elf is full of energy, mischief, and music! Elvis simply can’t sit still, and he’s far too cheeky to be left behind at the North Pole when I travel. So, I bring him along… and put him to good use!
You’ll spot Elvis spreading Christmas cheer with his trusty trumpet, getting everyone singing and dancing, and occasionally telling tall tales (don’t believe a word of it…I was not stuck up the chimney!)
To help keep him out of trouble, Elvis also helps me with signing, making him not just a mischievous companion but a valuable member of the team. So if you see Elvis on your visit, don’t forget to say hello but keep a close eye on him… he’s as naughty as he is musical!
